There are many options available and I’ve contacted many sellers before deciding which one to go for - including cheap options from China. I have to say that the guys from IA are the most professional, responsive and the most patient group from all of them. The unit shipped the next day. Connection is plug and play, no stripping wires. No need to connect to power. No need for an external microphone. Everything worked the first time I turned on the car. My phone paired quickly. CarPlay starts in a few seconds. The display is beautiful. Carplay is very fluid and responsive. Steering wheel and other car controls work perfectly. After some issues with another system I did some research and decided to purchase a system from these guys for my bmw. I have to say it was definitely the right decision. After some installation issues (mainly due to some aftermarket wiring before I bought the car) I eventually got the system up and running and it’s made a massive difference to enjoying using the car.Everything seems much more up to date now, everyone who’s been in the car has commented on how much better it is. Sound quality actually improved over my default MB COMAND system. Plenty of options to properly integrate the device with the car, connecting everything is easy. When I switched to an android phone Scott was brilliant with helping me get it set up for the android auto even sending me a software update so I could connect wireless. 10/10 would definitely go back for any further upgrades. It will add wireless connectivity to most Jaguar/Land Rover/Range Rover Vehicles equipped with a central display manufactured 2012-2022, The IMI-1000 works by communicating with your existing entertainment system as well as your in-car entertainment system (Including the OEM Steering wheel controls, rotary controls, touchscreen(if fitted), vehicle speaker system and the Central Information Display). It operates in either by-pass mode or in “active mode”. In by-pass mode the IMI-1000 does not affect the normal operation of the in-car entertainment system, the standard JLR user interface and the standard JLR navigation system will be shown on the display when in by-pass mode. Active mode is initiated when you connect your mobile phone to the car via the wireless Bluetooth connection or USB cable. After connection, the IMI-1000 activates CarPlay or Android Auto (dependent upon the operating system of your phone, iOS or Android). The Central Information Display (CID) will then show the CarPlay or Android Auto user interface and unleash the power of CarPlay/Android Auto!
